I've been programming since being taught Basic on a BBC Micro by an old chap called Mr Brindley who came to our primary school in the early 1990s.
Since then, I've worked on a wide variety of systems, from FPGA-based processors and low-level networking, to web design in more languages and frameworks than I'd care to count, and from PhD-level research to delivering working software for ordinary users. I've also managed developers and teams, and worked with every other part of a business — sales, finance, marketing, product, design, support — to make technology work for them.
I'm interested in challenging problems, delivering more with less, and working with other smart people.
